The overlay is one of the forms by which telling , by which writing and giving back importance. The act of watching initiates a layering , a sedimentation of objects , references, postpones , symbols, words; the photography is once again an excuse , is the early action, the narrative incipit . The project of the artist book Overlays is an anthology of images, fast all related to the topos of vanitas. Images are overlaid and their physiognomy and recognisability are transformed.
